Just to let you know I have taken a job in Alice Springs working at Yirara College (a Lutheran College). It has all happened pretty fast and will be a great career change and new challenge for me and my family. ...The 4th of July will be my last game playing and being involved with running the competition...
In the future, for results and soccer related stuff, Jamie and Bretto will be the people to talk to.
...I have played in the competition for 7 years (winning the comp for the first time last year) and have enjoyed the experience. I hope the inter church competition continues to grow and change lives.
Thanks, Sean
Sean, On behalf of the all participants in the competition we wish you all the best and say thanks for your short stint coordinating. May the the blessing God gave to Moses to pass on to Aaron and his sons also be true to you and your family: "GOD bless you and keep you, GOD smile on you and gift you..." (Num 6:24-25, The Message) |

Hi all, It has been a very interesting first four weeks of the competition. There have been some hurdles to face with the start of the season but we have come through these. We wish to thank everyone for stepping up and helping to get the season off to a positive start. We have also seen some great games and witnessed some beautiful goals, the type that cannot be repeated and will not be seen again! The following are just a few reminders to be mentioned for everyone. - All team cards are to be filled out and handed to the referee after the game. If the referee is unable to pass the team card onto one of the coordinators then please ring and let one of us know so we can pick it up the following week.
- At half-time, all players need to be recorded onto the team card by the captain for insurance purposes. At the end of the match the Referee and captains can transfer the information accordingly. It is very important this is done each match!
- Finally, some referees and team captains are doing a great job with getting the team card to the coordinators, but we have had some trouble collecting all of the information from the games. We have still managed to get the results which is the main thing, but for player of the year, golden boot and Yellow/Red card stats, there is still a lot of blanks. There are some team cards from matches where we are missing the scorers or player of the match.

Scoring for 2009 |

After discussions between competition organisors and some of the team captains, the scoring system for 2009 will be changed to: - 3 for a Win,
- 1 for a Draw and
- 0 for a loss.
This is the same as the English Premier League or the A League - I think people are pretty familiar with this scoring system. The competition table and other data will be changed to reflect this. Thanks, Sean |

How do we report a game result? |

There are three ways results will be received by competition organisors:
- Email the result directly to Sean, Jamie or Daniel,
- Enter the score in the website Forum - Unofficial scores, or
- Via the official team cards that the referees will administer before the match or during half time. Referees will phone or email the team cards to event organisers and results will be posted to this website. Note in the event of any discrepancy team cards will be used as the official record.
The sooner this information is provided the quicker the competition can be updated. The table will be updated as soon as all results are reported. Photo from the 2009 gallery. Send Daniel a photo from a recent game if you have one (just email me that you have a photo and I'll give you an address to send it/them to. |

To assist team and player communication please make use of our new online forum. Just click the [Forum] link in the main (top) menu.
Note that you need to be a registered user in order to post. If you're involved with the comp I would highly recommend you register by clicking on the Create an account link on the left. Registration is of course free and you need to provide a real email address so the registration can be completed. Some forum topics to get us going include: - Players discussion - A spot for competition players to interact online.
- Questions for officials - If you have a question about the competition please feel free to raise it here. Hopefully someone (competition organisors or ??) will be able to answer it for you.
- Unofficial scores - Watched or played in a recent game? Tell everyone the score here but note: this is not an official score and will not be used for team scores and ranking.
